20 Ways to Practice Self Love

With Valentine's Day coming up next week, it's an occasion for sharing kind words, giving gifts and spending time with loved ones. However, I hope that it will also be a time of practicing some self love and caring for yourself, regardless of your relationship status. Let the holiday be a reminder to try and slow down, express gratitude and be kind, all year round.

With that said, here's a few ways to practise self love.

  1. Buy yourself flowers
  2. Cook your favourite meal
  3. Write your future self a letter
  4. Have a long bath (optional bubbles/bath bomb!)
  5. Get a good night's sleep
  6. Take a break from social media
  7. Forgive yourself
  8. Keep a journal
  9. Try a new hobby
  10. Create a safe space in your home
  11. Take your medication
  12. Compliment yourself
  13. Meditate
  14. Schedule a date with friends
  15. Turn off notifications
  16. Sit out in nature
  17. Dance alone
  18. Say kind words to yourself
  19. Have a good laugh
  20. Breathe like you love yourself
